If you will look at this article I made no comment one way or the other, but if I had made a comment it would have been along the lines of what follows. I am not so sure that Copeland knows what the big picture is. If he does, then his actions give me the impression he is hiding something. I made no comment one way or the other to this post it was for purposes of information only. However, my concern among others is that the believers today lack any kind of discernment. I would think that simple common sense would say watch out for Copeland like ministries, but apparently a church where the congregation has no vote is not a warning. Elders who have multi million dollar incomes and live in the lap of luxury are also something that should be a warning. It is no where taught in the Bible that elders could be like the Copelands for an example. I am an elder, but I would have problems with being wealthy. It does not fit in any sense. I have been frugal of late for approving comments, because many people out there have no idea of what is happening in churches and try to defend people who do not earn a defense. I consider the defense of the Faith once delivered unto the saints to be of prominent need at the exclusion of no other. I consider Copeland at odds with the faith once delivered unto the saints and for that reason say nothing in support of him. I am concerned about how things that are said in this whole issue are effecting how the world sees Christians. Such as Savonarola and many others, at this point it is entirely impossible for the Catholic church to repent of her wrongs. This can be construed by some that I am not being nice or that I have animosity against the Catholic church. This animosity you speak of is not true I just happen to believe that the Catholic church is the beast of the book of Revelation. She never will repent, and if she does she no longer will be the Catholic church. The Catholic church started in approximately 315 to 355 the area that is roughly the same as the Nicaean Creed, which by the way I agree with, but not because of its supposed connection to the Catholic church. The reason being that the Catholic church had little to do with the writing of this document. The emperor Constantine did have a lot to do with it. Before 315 there were many churches scattered across most of Europe and north Africa, none of them were in any fashion organically connected to the supposed Catholic church. During the time from Pentecost to the fourth century churches were planted individually all over this area and there was no head, simply because Christ alone is the head of the church. Anyone else placed at His level is sacrilege. The Catholic church took and burned at the stake anyone especially Christians and Jews who refused to bow to the power of the pope. Why shouldn't I be a little righteously angered by the Catholic church after all the terrible things she has done. In fact these things have been done in the name of the Church and ok'd by the pope himself. Remember the pope tried to silence Luther and it did not work. Salvation is by faith in Christ alone plus nothing else, this includes the so called sacraments. None of these can impart anything to the receiver. When I say Sovereign Grace that means that salvation is all of grace to all whether we deserve it or not, most of us, if not all of us have done just the opposite, we deserve God's wrath. I hold out to you the invitation to come to Christ apart from the apostate Catholic church. I am a Baptist and I believe Sola Scriptura just about wraps it up. If his long trail ends at the White House so does the United States of America. His connection to his pastor has not been adequately explained to me. From my end if you sit under a pastor long enough, you are bound to absorb something from him. I suspect that Obama is a lot more racial then he is letting on. I also suspect him of not being what he is trying to present himself and being something really quite different and devastating.
